Company Profile
The company was registered on May 26, 1994. Since its foundation, the company has specialized in providing information solutions for automotive repair. The company produces both classic information sources (books) and modern software products, which are used by automotive service professionals, students and lecturers of specialized educational institutions, and car owners. Our team includes specialists with automotive backgrounds (technicians, engineers, lecturers), including holders of Candidate of Sciences degrees (Ph.D. equivalent). We collaborate with Moscow Automobile and Road Construction University (MADI), Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Moscow Polytechnic University, and specialists from relevant departments of regional universities.
History
- 1994: The company obtained a publishing license and began producing automotive literature, including reference books, parts catalogs, textbooks, and repair & maintenance manuals.
- 1996: We completed our first translation and began publishing a series of reference books from the British company Autodata Ltd, a European leader in professional literature for the automotive repair market.
- 1994-2004: Over the following decade, we localized (translated and published in Russian) over twenty volumes of Autodata materials, comprising thousands of pages of repair information for various vehicle systems.
- 2004: Bosch entrusted us with the translation and publication of their series of textbooks on modern automotive systems in Russian.
- 2006: We prepared the Russian-language version of Autodata Ltd's software on CD. This marked the first time our translated multi-volume reference books were converted into a digital format.
- 2006-2007: We translated into Russian a series of books for motorsport enthusiasts and car tuning aficionados, originally published by Veloce Publishing and HP Books.
- 2010: With our assistance, the Autodata Online software product—a global best-seller in the auto repair market—became fully available in Russian.
- 2007-2012: Leveraging our years of experience in publishing automotive repair manuals, we began developing our own software solution—MotorData Auto-Electrician (MotorData Professional). MotorData Auto-Electrician is a specialized information system for auto-diagnostic technicians and auto-electricians. Its unique interactive features and numerous innovative solutions elevated it to the top tier of professional information systems. This, combined with its exceptional vehicle coverage, made the MotorData Auto-Electrician database an indispensable tool for troubleshooting electrical and electronic control systems in Japanese, Korean, and Chinese vehicles.
- 2013: We developed software for diagnostics using ELM327 adapters. That same year, it was integrated into the MotorData Auto-Electrician client software.
- 2014: The MotorData Auto-Electrician software was launched on the international market in English.
- 2016: We launched the Vehicle Visuals software product on the domestic market. It features hundreds of interactive videos on vehicle construction and malfunctions, designed to improve communication between car owners and service technicians.
- 2016: We developed and published the MotorData OBD Android application on Google Play—a mobile app for vehicle diagnostics using an ELM327 adapter and a smartphone.
- 2017-2018: We organized a large-scale professional event—the Auto Diagnostic Technician Olympics. Over 1,000 specialists participated in its 13 stages, held across all Federal Districts of Russia: in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Krasnodar, Ufa, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Vladivostok, and the Nizhny Novgorod region. One stage was also held in Minsk, Republic of Belarus. The final stages took place in Moscow. The goal of the Olympics was to identify and reward the best specialists based on their professional knowledge and ability to solve complex technical challenges.
- 2017-2018: In conjunction with the Olympics finals, we held two Auto Diagnostic Technician Forums in Moscow. These events served as platforms for live networking and knowledge exchange among professionals from various regions of Russia and neighboring countries. The 2017 Forum was held in the conference hall of the Moscow Automobile and Road Construction Institute (MADI).
- 2018: We introduced the world's leading remote learning system for automotive specialists, LMS Electude, to the Russian market.
- 2019-2021: The development of MotorData OBD2 was supported by the Foundation for Assistance to Innovation (Bortnik Fund). Our application has been installed by over 5,000,000 users worldwide.
- 2020-2021: The Motordata OBD2 app was adapted and published on the App Store (iOS) and AppGallery (Huawei).
- 2021: We began the customized integration of remote learning and testing systems for automotive specialists—LMS Electude, MotorData Auto-Electrician, Vehicle Visuals, and Autodata—into educational institutions across Russia.
- 2022: We launched a new software product, MotorData Repair Times, designed to help auto repair shops accurately calculate standard repair times.
- 2023: We developed an API to integrate MotorData Repair Times into workshop management systems, including both 1C-based and cloud solutions.
- 2024: We actively expanded the MotorData Auto-Electrician database to include extensive data on Chinese vehicles. The Motordata OBD2 mobile app was published on the app store RuStore (Android). Since its initial launch, our application has been installed by over 10,000,000 users across various mobile platforms worldwide.
